Computer Journal

What have I learned you say? I have learned a lot during our 1st grading. First, we discussed on the basics of programming, hardwares, softwares and the like. Sir Arian discussed about the differences in low level processing time and high level processing time. He showed and discussed to us on how the computer undergoes different processes to show and manifest the output that we, the programmers have sent. I also learned about algorithm which a step by step method that one must follow to arrive at a certain destination and create an output. Algorithms are quite simple if you just learn how follow rules and understand the steps given. After discussing and having activities on that, we proceeded to Scratch. Scratch is a programming software commonly used for kids and teenagers. This was developed by Lifelong Kindergarten MIT Media Lab. Scratch is very accessible for it can be downloaded via the internet.

We have never used the computer lab during the 1st quarter. This was kind of disappointing but we had no other choice but be patient until we could have access to the lab. I find the computer classes last July and August quite plain and simple. I wish there were more fun activities that require interaction with the computer and of course with other classmates.

Lastly, our computer teacher, Sir Arian is always happy. He is a confusing person. Why? Because he does not get angry to us. And we ourselves do not when he gets serious. We do not know and have not seen him get angry. So we cannot adjust with his taste and know our limitations. But in general, he is a fun and jolly person. He is nice to be with and I can see that he is really doing and exerting his best.
